“Ms. Pinto, what is a rotary phone?”
Our children are growing up in a world where smart phones, video games, social networks and YouTube are everywhere. So it’s natural that we should equip our schools with technology in order to personalize and enrich the learning experience for students.
Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT), the sole source of federal funding for education technology in our nation’s schools, has received no funding from Congress since 2010 and was again left out of the President’s FY 2013 Budget. The unmet needs of our schools for hardware, software, technology professional development and IT support will only continue to grow. This is precisely the moment that Congress needs to help ensure that our schools are prepared for online assessments in 2014 and that our students are equipped with 21st century skills. We need your help to wake them up to these realities!
Please take action today. You can easily send a letter to your Congressional leaders here. Ask them to fund the EETT program at least at the $100 million level in FY 2013 so that our students, teachers and administrators have the tools they need to learn, engage in professional development and implement the online assessments in 2014.

Hey There Curriki,
This might be off topic, however, Each year the California Grand Lodge and its constituent Masonic lodges throughout the state proclaim one month to be “Public Schools Month.” A proclamation is routinely delivered by the sitting Grand Master, read aloud in each constituent lodge during one or more monthly stated meetings. Its purpose has always been to encourage lodges to plan a program publicly supporting Public Schools in a way that reveals for all to see the depth of Freemasonry’s commitment.
Kindest Regards
Good , you did a good job , keep it up!
